If your tired of the way all the so called pop artists are butchering our National Anthem, then you will seriously appreciate.....this version

Sung by a group known as "Dave's Highway".

No instruments, no microphones, no special effects!

Just 3 young siblings (Erika, Delaney, and Zachary) singing the anthem as originally written, right in their own living room.

I've been a musician all my life and for a good many years I've put together my music with my teaching. I'm a retired teacher now but I still supply teach almost exclusively elementary school music. I stumbled across these kids while looking for "Unclouded Day" on You Tube. I sing and play every Sunday on my church praise team and lately have been leading hymn sings at the local senior's home. I was trying to reaquaint myself with this old hymn. These youngsters just "blew me away" and I stayed up way past my bedtime listening to their great music.

Hey Rad,

Those kids are certainly an inspiration. My church praise team is heavy on the contemporary praise music of Chris Tomlin, Reuben Morgan, Matt Redman and the like. I really enjoy this music but also have a sense that we our letting the old classic hymns slip away, especially since I've been helping out at the senior's home and singing hymns I haven't sung for a long time.

Lubbock Texas! I bet you have a shrine celebrating the life of Buddy Holly. He's the guy who gave me the confidence to sing. In my high school days I learned his style and my friends told me I was good. That gave me the confidence to take off musically and I've been "flying" ever since. Roy Orbison was another one of my inspirations.

I never got into the pickin' and grinnin' bluegrass music but I really enjoy listening to it.

God Bless,
Don

Man,
I can't believe there is nothing special to celebrate Buddy's musical accomplishments. He was a majoir influence on pop music and somewhat of a musical pioneer. He used orchestration in his music long before the Beatles. In fact John and Paul were inspired by the likes of Buddy Holly and Don and Phil Everley.

Still love Buddy Holly's music. I really like "True Love Ways"

God Bless,
Don
