After 5 years of buying Denatured alcohol for the burner, finally tried the Isopropyl or "rubbing alcohol" for the burner....

Instead of $6.00 per pint, its down to $1.00 per from the dollar store..

Yes that does work. BTW where did you get the lamp??? it comes from the jewelry industry notice the different angles that the bottom half has. That was used by jewelers in the early part of the last century for soldering believe it or not. That is the reasons for all the angles. Had to do it in the early part of the 1960's as a experience in futility. We used with with a blow pipe My first boss was really good at soldering with one of those. I wasn't worth a darn at it.

Those lamps are great if you live in the boone docks . Ice storms knock out my electric now and then . But a country boy can survive . Moon shine burns a nice purty blue flame and tickles your inards.

Rodger must have been New old Stock. That one is a cracker jack.

TF yes doesn't that moonshine burn pretty. Burns good going down too. A little hot both ways.
