Taped Shad

Something I just started to experiment with. Cutting out tiny pieces of lure tape and using on jigs to give some depth to profile. Also like the flash it gives off. If you notice the tiny air bubbles I think they will disappear after it fully dries.

I taped the jig , then tied fedder and flash to him. Used paint stick to blend tape in with profile. Covered lightly with clear cure goo hydro. Then finally coated with SH clear. Duck flank natural and black used along with a heron gray .

WaaaaaaY sweet jig. Great use if multiple materials flawlessly. Couldn't look much more real.

What I'm noticing is the iridescence (rainbow colors)!! Like when the light hits a shad just right! EXCELLENT WORK!!! :icon14::icon14:

I like it! That pearlescent shimmer is what minnows and shad really really give off.

Very cool. Excellent use of tape. Looks time consuming but should pay off big time.
