I dunno. It's a thin rubbery string given to me from a friend. Believe it came from a craft store and is designed to make bracelets and necklaces. It's a pinkish orange strand wound around the shank, tied off, then a clear strand granny woven on top of it. Put a heavy coat of SH over the body.
Will ask specifics of material tomor.
It's really thin. Did another a while back and realized if you're tying bigger than 1/32 you'll need a full under wrap to make any kind of uniformity to the head and tail.
You'll see what I'm saying with this'n
Looks like fine craftsmanship to me! The clear over the color really gives it dimension. Pretty sure i know what you are talking about - my daughter has some that she uses to make braided friendship bracelets. They sell some 'tying' material that i think is similar...... but can say i've never used it. Think it is called Larva Lace maybe - prolly about 75% more expensive.
They are awesome!!! The weave is amazing and the translucent quality with the color underneath makes for an exellent grass shrimp imitation. Nice work!!!
