I´d go with the amber :icon14: that`s a real beauty.

Makes me wonder - can you mix candy colors with regular ones or will that end you up with particles in it?

I´m not sure if the rough look I get on some of my heads comes from brush taping or from the particles in the mix. Or from the fact that i cure the first layer before applying the secont to prevent slides and drops.

I love the smooth transition on yours!

Bet the rough is coming from the glitter .I get that a lot . What ever you do don't use that glitter that is like glass crystals . You'll be able to file your nails with a jig head . Great work Bro

Like them all! The blue/truce has an excellent contrast with the silver streak down the middle.

I am pretty much in the same boat enjoying painting just as much (if not more) than tying.... as you may have seen lately.

Bucho - I am not positive since not the manufacture..... but to my eyes, a big difference between the candy color pigments and regular opaque colors is the particle size. If you mix a regular opaque style color with clear it does not turn out the same as a candy color - you can see the color particles 'floating' in the clear. If your final cured finish is rough, would think it is something foreign in the powder like glitter as ToadFrog mentioned. Then again, never have cured in two separate steps, so not sure how that would work.

Entering the realm of "too nice to fish". One of our members paint jobs are so purty that I mostly keep em around to look at, and tie up unpainted to actually use.
