Thanks fellas.... I am going to keep posting pics of what I am up to on this thread. I like tying at least 6 at a time, if not by the dozen. Gotta fill up a couple boxes before it warms up too much!

Got a half dozen pheasant tail variants done tonight. This one is a brainchild of my friend, and is one of the best bluegill flies I have used...

One of my own adaptations/ideas... I have caught everything from brook trout to 3#a largemouth and white bass on it. But mainly bluegills. Lots and lots of bluegills!

I believe i have one of those in my box still that managed to survive a season. What is the hook size/style you are using?

Odd looking scud hooks with how wide they are and the very rounded shape of the curve. Was thinking they were egg hooks but the down eye was confusing me. Will have to look them up - would make some good FAT nymph patterns for smallmouth if they have them available large enough.

Absolutely! These are actually size 10..... Grabbed the wrong hooks last night. Oops. Eagle Claw fly hooks are worth looking into. Very nice for how much they cost.
