Ok guys yall helped me tremendously the last time I had a question about actually starting it as a business. Well, I decided to "bite the jig" and just do it to see where it goes. So recently I registered with Rutherford County in Tennessee as a Sole Proprietor. Now according to their website if I understand it correctly, you do not have to register with the state if you make less than $3000 annually.(Well for one how are you supposed to know this if you are a new business?)

I've also read that I need to register for my taxes under the Dept. of Revenue but some sites say you dont?

Im just really confused. So what should my next step be in completing this process?

try looking on sba.gov. our calling your state office. laws vary so much state to state that is hate for you to get wrong info. what happens in Wisconsin may not be the way it is in your state.

Do Not know Your local laws but if you make any fishing tackle and sell it you have to pay a 10% Federal Excise tax.
You have to register with the IRS and you will also need an employer ID number ..
The 10% is paid by the mfg on what he sells it for.

Best to get it all lined up before You go any further as the IRS can come down hard as well as state and local tax collectors.
Good Luck
