Guys, I have got a friend who is getting ready to come back from his second tour in Iraq. My plan is to have a jig selection waiting for him when he gets here! The guy really enjoys fishing for everything, and he hasn't had a chance to wet a line for at least a year due to his service. Here is my idea... we have a lot of very fine tyers on this site. If you are interested in contributing to my little project to say thanks to this fine young man, just give me a shout. If a few folks could tie a half dozen to a dozen jigs each, he could have one heck of a welcome home gift! I am not after any particular size, color, or shape. Just a nice variety from a variety of guys here would be pretty dang special.

Thanks for looking. Give it some thought, and if you are interested give me a shout.

Jig Man, he hasn't said an exact date, but he comes home at the end of the month.

I would prefer to keep this separate from a swap, because it really isn't a swap. I am not looking for anything fancy.... I know we kinda go "all out" for swap jigs!

He likes fishing for crappie, and really enjoys jigging up white bass and hybrids!

Here is my address for those who are interested. I am going to get everything together and then get a box or two to carry them all. Let's say deadline is the end of the month?

Certainly dont mean to divert from your project,but heard today that Noel Sanchez ,(member, and one of Led's fishin buddy's) older brother is heading to a Texas Army base,returning from Afghanistan,and is hoping to do some fishing while stationed there.If any one wants to help put a pack together for him too,Ill sure try to get it going !

Zac, I tied some today, in 1/8, 1/16/ and 1/32. They are in bags with each size and one bag with your name on it I want you to try these out and give a report if you get the chance.


Rad, I don't know the timeline you are lookin at and I will be workin lots of OT in the coming weeks but I am in for your friend as well. Going to send you somethin to try out. Don't get to fish much lately and would like a report.:D
