Some experimental jigs
Minnow head with wire keeper (modified staple) and custom gold made from embossing powder and 200% clear

1/32 gold head less powder = brighter gold

Tapping attempt 3/32 minnow head, gold pc, emerald green back, white belly note, eyes were applied while powder was soft and before cure.

Its coming slowly. Learning as I go am now trying partial cure of base coat before tapping. Full cure is marginal. Temp is much more critical for the tap method than it is for heat and swish. I finally understand why AF still uses an alcohol burner.

You can add a lot of colors - after 5 or 6 it starts getting tricky.

You don't have to base coat (eliminates bulk when you want to add more colors) if you tap over the axis of the jig. I usually do both sides first, then top - illusion overcoat sometimes, and finish on the bottom - sometimes.

I also mix holographic glitter (from Columbia Coatings) in almost all my custom paints, including opaque.
