Did some painting today

Some Spinner bodies

Tryed the clear coat with glitter and it came out great except the photo

I've had more luck tapping darker colors onto light colors. White, pink and chartreuse make good base colors to tap black, red or orange onto. After I tap the color on, I'll pass the jig through the flame again to be sure it sets up good. The more you play with it, the easier it gets.

Oh yeah, looking better and better!

The tapping take practice - plain and simple! Don't be afraid to just tap it on with some force too, the contrast makes a nice look. You would sh!t if you knew how many heads i consider 'not up to par' that i have tapped powder on in the past. I still have the occasional one that i look at after and wonder what the fudge happened. :P

Lure bodies are a pain in the tail sometimes . I just did a four ounce . It was like trying to paint a football . Yours are looking pretty darn good there .

Thanks for the move!!! LOL Had a brain fart yesterday. I've got the really cheap Wal-Mart paint brush's with the plastic handles I'm looking to get some of the makeup ones to get a better tap and even coverage. The spinner bodies took a while on the larger ones I had to put wires back in LOL!!! but not a problem.

The Copperhead worked really good. And I'm gonna go with the double dip with glitter it just works so much better.

OH you mean some new ones!! LOL No not yet, have some work related crap I'm fighting as I only have 10 days to do it in. But I've gotta do something or I'm afraid I'll deck my supervisor as he's being a real PITA!!!

These damned kids think they know everything about the job I've been doing for almost 30 years.
