I have always liked the look of a clouser minnow or other ties using barbell eyes or bead chain eyes but I haven't really ever tied any. Tied these this morning. thought they might be good for the crappie and gills this spring. I have no Idea what kind of hooks these are but they are short shank #4's I think. I bought em last year to use fishing with live cicadas when they were here. Anyways these are pretty ugly ties but let me know what ya think.

I don't think many fish will find those ties ugly.. The little guys in your second picture would be perfect for imitating the small young-of-the-year shad that all kinds of fish target after a hatch. Nice work for sure! I think you're on to something there, a wool/satin mini clouser. I think I have to tie a few of those now..

Nothing ugly about those ties. Double rig them above a larger jig and let the fish tell you what they want.
