Got two Crappie Maxx reels ( baitcasters ) from Bass Pro. These are small casters capacity 100 yds of 10 #. Ran out and mounted them on two lite Pfluegers 5-1/2 IMS-7 4-8 test line rating. I just happened to have these laying around.

As a side note also got Oreilly's new book " Killing Lincoln " . If you are a Civil War buff you will want to read this book. He is right I could not put it down. The books I have read over the years on our worst conflict would not fit in a medium sized warehouse. I would rate this in the top 5 easily.

Salty it's easy enough to get a new guide put on that rod then you'll have two!!!! but then you'll have to buy another reel!!!

Didn't get any fishing related stuff never do - Bsically I hate this time of year and have for a really long time. The wife tried to buy me a bunch of new cloth's but it's hard to buy me cloth's as I've lost 87 lbs. and I'm really in between size's and none of the stuff fits!!!!!!!!! She is royally pissed off about it, but until I drop another 20 it makes no sense to try

I have a bunch of reels that will go right on there. That's been my panfish rod for the last 10 years.Maybe I'll be learning to do rods now. No,I'm thinking making an ice rod out of it.

Only thing for fishing I got was a head light for night fishing. Lost mine last year and it took me 20 minutes to tie on a new rig in the dark lol.

Salty, do you have jigs that'll fit that UL? A 2-oz ultra minnow's gonna look awful funny hanging from it!

I haven't gotten anything just yet, but I think I'll have some Cabela's cards coming my way.

My best gift was that my two nephews that are 3, and 5 came to visit Christmas day. I tried to spoil them the best I could. With all the candy and Coke-a-Cola that they could hold. Then I had to play with them and we had to go see the Chickens and pet the Plymouth Rock hen. That is one of the best gifts that I could have gotten is to have time with the youngest members of my family. For me that is what Christmas is all about the gift of the Child, Family, friends, and food.
