This is just a simple jig to highlight some new material. The jig is a 1/16oz with a #4 hook painted black, I used black buck tail along with gray ghost pearl flash for the tail and bream chenille for the body. This is the first jig I tied using the gray ghost pearl flash and bream chenille and I'm pretty happy with it the look of it, I wanted just a tad more color than the black pearl and the bream is perfect!!
I was worried it would have too much flash but it doesn't, the same as black pearl with a different color and the flash is awesome, almost a holographic effect when light hits it but it is still subtle, this should be a good combination in stained water.

Thanks guys! PanfishHunter, most of my stuff is larger for bass and these are small for me, these are going to be large crappie/float-n-fly bass jigs as are the small 1/32oz jigs I tie. That said, I do use sickles, in fact I have some in a 3/0 along with size #1 and #2 but I rarely use them for myself, not that I don't like them but most of the time I buy my hooks by the 1000 count and in the past Matzuo, who makes the sickle, has had horrible quality control, I've had 200 bad hooks in a 1000 count box and even had close to 30 one time in a 100 count so I quit buying them altogether. Most of what I have now are either Mustad 32746 or the Eagle Claw LaserSharp 570 black platinum but now I found a vendor that will replace all the bad ones so I keep a few on hand. Guys on here will tell you that round bends typically are better in the larger sizes but I will agree that the sickle hooks are very sharp and hold well.
