Silver Flake Hair Jigs and Sugar?

I'd been a little disappointed with glitter not showing up very well in my photos. So, I went ahead and purchased some large silver glitter (Sulyn Industries) and created some silver flake jig heads. Each hair jig is a 1/8-oz. ball head with a #2 hook.



Well, I'm not overly excited about the result. But, whille I coated the heads with my epoxy and glitter mix, I was reminded of a "Sugarhead" jig. This was a crappie-sized marabou feather jig that I purchased many years ago. It had a head coating that looked like granulated sugar. I plan to design a similar jig with glitter flakes sometime in the future.

Ever hear of, own, or use a "Sugarhead"? I tried a keyword web search for this jig and turned up zero hits.

pup im a big fan of your jigs. i like how the bodies are always puffed out...Bet you could make some dandy stripped bass jigs...bucktails.

The jig heads look nice and great looking jigs. I worked with craft fur for the first time the other week and it is a lot different from working with hair. I did like the looks of it after I was finished with the jig. Thanks for posting your pics.

Great looking jigs as always Pup. I like messing around with glitter. You can see it flikering in every room in my house now. LOL I had some old crankbaits I brought back to life. I coated them with clear polish then sprinkled glitter on them. I then overcoated them again with clear polish. I got my glitter at Hobby Lobby.

Thank you all for your comments. Will look into Jones Tones and check out Hobby Lobby (HL). Haven't been to HL in quite a while.
