Still playing with the satin threads. Using a pointed pick ( bodkin ) instead of fingernail to separate threads of cloth. Then cut shiniest fibers with scissors to length for what size jighead I am tying. Tie flash on first then satin threads. Then use strands of flash and wrap like chenille over base thread. Have to use mono thread so your color shined thru. After tie is complete with clear cure goo and finally a coat of Sally's

Used red thread under this one giving a translucent affect.

On these used holographic silver and holographic gold flash. Same steps but different materials on some as per pix. I think the real tiny one are going to be murderous this spring. Covering with mono thread and the clear cure goo will give a translucent effect and kinda like a 3d depth to the jig.

Love the satin, hate trying to get it off the material. Will try using the bodkin. Thanks for the tip!

Hello papaperch those are some nice looking jigs, but I was wondering what type of jig head did you use for orange jig?

Darter - I think it was one of CA's mean minner heads.

Toad- Named them " silkies " because somehow " santeenies " didn't sound right LOL

Son going from Nebraska to Alabama for work . He's a maintenance supervisor and evidently their plant down there has a big problem. He wants a jig box with some jigs mailed to him . Think I will throw a few of these in there. That way he can tell me what the bama crappies think of them.
