Tied a couple of kreature baits this evening for early spring bass fishing. I plan to fish these in the river near my home.

It's tough for me to see the body color very well. I used a basil-colored #6 chenille manufactured by Lion Brand that is pictured below.

Other materials include:
  • Deluxe craft fur - black
  • Olive trilobal polyester thread 40-wt
  • Lemon-lime and black-colored silicone skirt tab
  • 1/8-oz. football head with #1 sickle or round bend hook
  • Santee nail polish for jig head - black
  • PermaPoxy 5-Minute Clear for jig head topcoat

Those are awsome looking ties!!! Like the contrasting colors. :jig:

I have a skein of the same stuff - purchased at wally-world off the clearance rack, wish they had more colors. Also got some it in black, more than i will ever use! Let me know if you ever want some, i am sure we can barter something. ;)

Very inovative . I like them . A lot of folks get stuff at Wal- mart. I've noticed that once They put in a super center a lot of useful things disappear of the shelves.

Thank you for your comments Guys. :) BTW, Big Lots is another good place to look for chenille.

If interested, the jigs can be zoomed in on here.

AF,

I may take you up on your offer sometime. Thanks. :) :jig:

Very, very nice Pup.I think it is just amazing what you guys can put together and the best part you can't find any artificial baits in the local tackle shops that will hold up to a custom made bait like the ones posted here on jig craft!!

Thanks SH. :)

Tied this similar pattern last night using olive-colored Lion Brand Suede (chenille yarn) along with Orvis Polar Fibre for the tail.
