Didn't get on the lake until 10:30 this morning so I missed the morning bite. It was slow most of the day but was able to cull out a limit by 5:00. The bites have been very lite but once you hook em the fight is on.

Thought I would post a pic for Russ and family. The game-wardens pulled up to the boat today and caught Rosco fishing ---again, asked to see his license so he was busted. Had a good laugh with em before they pulled away from the boat. Old Rosco is getting well known on the lakes with his pic being posted on the forums. :)

Way better than me as well, managed six gills,no crappie. We got out at about the same time, water here is still really cold. Love seeing Rosco in the boat with you. Hopefully one day my boxer Toby will be able to make some trips with me. He's enrolled in training classes now, and he needs them.

The water is very muddy so the crappie are hugging the bottom. The lake water started at 47 and topped out at 53. More rain coming tomorrow so the lake will not clear soon but we need the rain,

Excellent report.... think i need a job like yours. :P

I will show my kids that picture tomorrow - they will love it! The story even more since we have been approached by the GW a few times now (with one embarrassing moment for my wife) they understand what that is all about!

Boy I miss Lake Greenwood. Fished it from 1974 to 1982. Many fond memories.

It is a great crappie lake. We now have a 8" size and 20 creel on crappie, will help the lake. I turned back 8 last year that were 2 1/2 pound +, should have a lot of eggs laid between those crappie.

x2 compliments on returning the big uns. Respectful of them being the smartest and strongest survivors which hopefully will pass on to their offspring.
