  • Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid 009 - emerald
  • Lion Brand Suede Yarn (discontinued) - olive
  • Coats Trilobal Polyester Machine Embroidery Thread 444 40-wt. - olive
  • Eagle Claw 1/8-Oz. Ball Head Jig JB0018U
  • Experimental Powder Paint Mixture (Rosey's and Harbor Freight) - safety blue/red/yellow 1:1:1 ratio

Was fun to put this together on the fly...

That baby will catch fish! At 1/8 and then the resistance from the forward facing silicone skirt, that will practically be a slow fall finesse bait. Your long saddles will provide lots of kick.... twitch it on the fall. ;) Did your powder paint mix turn out the color you thought it would? I would not have guessed it to come out so blue. Great looking jig!

That is my go-to jig style for largemouth and they do work great for smallies to. Have gotten some monster sheephead (fw drum) around the floating docks up on Erie also. They flat out work.

AF, The powder paint appears much greener, in hand, than it does in the photo. I use a combination of lighting that includes a fluorescent ring directly above the jig. It does affect how the paint appears when photographed for sure. I'm looking to produce an olive color with further mixing/testing. Must admit, I'm really looking forward to fishing this jig on a light spinning outfit. :)
