Running from Isaac

We are headed in to the dock... Running from tropical storm... Soon to be hurricane Isaac. Calling for it to possibly build to a category 3 storm by the time it makes landfall. Gulf of Mexico is not a good place to be for the next few days!!! At least the oil companies are on board nowadays and don't make us stay out til the last minute!!
We haven't been in to the dock for almost 2 months now, so... A little dock time sounds good!! It's already getting bumpy out here... And it hasn't even hit the Keys yet!! Thank god they have seen the light on how dangerous these storms are!

I am looking forward to the rain that we should but the wind that comes with these storms can make life hard. The local weather folk are saying we will have to deal with this storm from Tuesday-Friday but could get 5 to 6'' of rain.

We changed course yesterday for Galveston, Texas...... Looks like it's gonna hit right where we were going in... Good call on my part!! Whew! Should be dockside by noon today in safe harbor.

I am hunkered down in Galveston.... Snug as a jig in my vise!! Now... We wait it out! Hope all my friends and family are smart enough to leave! Katrina is why I now live in East Texas... Don't wish that destruction on anyone.... I lived through it once... It sucks!!
