Forgive me, but I do name all my jigs and lures. A habit that started on day 2 of my tying when I hooked a cutthroat on my now jig of choice on the Cumberland River, called the Trout Spanker. What's tough is to keep coming up with new names all the time. Thank goodness for Google and my fishing buddies.
I tied these back in the early days of Fall. Calling them my Rubber Buckies for obvious reasons. I had considered Buck Rubbers but figured the magnitude of that, would mean there wouldn't be much in the way of reproduction, hence the name Rubber Buckies.
Starting at top right clockwise, it's almost like naming children, especially when they do good!.
Saba, Opie, Cleo, Watson, & Goldie
Here are a few close ups of Watson
I don't know if they will catch anything yet haven't tried them. I suspect the combination of marabou, buck tail, and rubber will make for a little awesomeness in the water. Here's to hoping :bigfish:
