I saw Pup's Brown Split Tail and read about AtticaFish using the rabbit zonker.
I used a 1/2 oz jig mink zonkers split with olive kiptail, chenille and rubber. I'm liking this A LOT, thanks guys!

Yup! Those will work wonders as swim jigs. I like them best on a slightly eye forward balanced head, but those will work without a doubt. As the temps cool and the bass start busting the heck out of schooling minnows........ this style is what i throw and use a fast herky-jerky retrieve. Have a name in my head for these type of jigs and style of fishing....... Jerk Pigs. :bigfish:

Should also mention........... my 'JerkPig' jigs are usually minnow and shad colors. I keep the subdued greens, yellows, browns, and such mostly in my pocket for bottom crawling jigs. Swimming jigs i mostly like silvers and golds with black tops. They are reaction baits the way i fish them though, so perhaps color is nt as important as just getting their attention with the big bulky profile of the silicone collar. Trust me..... these will get hit by BIG fish.
