Just received my first order from Rosey's and I'm pretty impressed. Paint seems a bit denser than the Protec I've been using but it covers very well. Just placed an additional order this evening to take advantage of the sale.

Used the Do-It worm weight mold to cast some weights for lure bodies. Painted yellow with red dusting and pearl white with red dusting. Came out looking fantastic.

Going to build some more spinners tonight or tomorrow and take them fishing for Sand bass on Saturday.

I have not used Rosey's yet... if i get any more colors i will have to build more shelves! Glad to hear it is working I have a couple colors that i have traded for (think they are automotive paints) that seem to be heavier than Pro-Tec but they work pretty good. Takes some adjustment to how you dip or tap the colors on.

Good luck on your fishing trip - hope to see a report!

Even with the Columbia coatings powder for every 3 ounces of automotive I add a tablespoon of clear and the same with the Rosys I've traded for.

I'll have to try mixing some clear into the Rosey's powder...as soon as I buy a couple pounds of clear! :)

Streetwalker, just a suggestion, I have purchased several color's from Rosey's and traded/Swapped for Several more & for those that are a bit dense, I really like the Glass Clear 200% Gloss. I've bought 3# of it over time and keep it in a plastic jar with a good lid. That stuff looks almost liquid when I move the jar around. It really loosens up the heavier powder's, IMHO.

Thanks. I'll pick some up.

Right now I'm on a hunt to get some decent storage containers for the paint. Ones that won't break the bank.

I bought some plastic jars with good lids from US Plastics

For the 6oz, 8oz & 16oz, the cost wasn't that bad. I just wish I'd bought more! I need some now. Here's their link

Plastic jars are the way to go. I get mine from uline. My work always orders from them so I just tack on to the order when I need some. Just whatever you do do not use baby food jars. ... I still have some powder in some of them that I can't open for the life of me. I've used pipe wrenches and everything.

Oh I second the gloss he recommended. I have a purple that I actually use 9 parts clear to 1 part paint. I don't think I'll run out of that color for a very long time. Lol

The shipping on jars is crazy. We're getting hit with a "balloon" charge. Big box, little weight.

Anyone having a problem ordering from Rosey's?

Don't know if you've been back but they got the problem fixed. Their Sale goes to the end of October.

I used to use the nice plastic cups but always made a mess when transferring (I use a fluid bed) so, I decided the best storage would be to just use my fluid bed cups as storage. I buy test plugs/caps and each cup has its own cap. These are available sometimes at your local home center but supply is sporadic. Several weeks ago, I ran across a sale on the web and bought a box of 100 for 8 dollars plus 4.95 shipping so 13 cents each. I use scrap tyvek for my filter and a 10' piece of 2" PVC makes around 40 cups. So for a little time and ~35 cents, I have a cup and nice storage container, added benefit, is they are all the same size and a sharpie lets me add any notes color, mix info etc.
