Got my Veniards Fly dye for Xmas and got to using it today. These are the little tubes it comes in, it only calls for a 1/4 of a teaspoon with a quart (liter) of water, and there's a whole lot more left in each of the tubes.

Those look good!

I've done some Koolaid microwave dyeing. How is the process for Veniard's? Similar? Where can a person get some of this dye?

Jig man - use the natural colored ones as white

AllenOK - Same as kool-aid dyeing, some use micro-wave some don't I boil water in a pan and pour it into Ball Mason Jars, make sure they're real!!!! Ball canning jars they make a craft one and it don't cut it for dyeing feathers!!!!!!!!!

The Veniards you can get at Stone River Outfitters in New Hampshire http://www.stoneriveroutfitters.com/ he only orders it twice a year so quantities could be high or low.

Have seen it on ebay but they don't always have the fluorescent colors.

Way better youtube video's than anything I could come up with!!

Re-dyed the FL. Red ones and it made them a darkish Tangerine color. Still a good useable color.

The Kool-Aid and RIT when you re-dye will darken them up but think with the Veniards you have to start again with un-dyed feathers.
