I thought the tutorial by AtticaFish on SplitShot Jig Heads was pretty cool. I had never tried it because I didn't have any round splitshots, only the removable kind. Figured out last night that using the same technique but with a removable splitshot, you can make a pretty decent looking minnow head. Not sure what size weights these are that I used but they are very small. Anyway I'm sure its nothing new but thought I'd share

Hawn for those of us who have had to switch to tin split shot because of the laws it's kind of fun trying to use them for something!! As long as their part of a lure you can use it, but as straight lead shot it's illegal.

Most of mine went the same way but cleaning out a box found two bags so played around with them. The rest went in my lead tub. Plus most folks starting out don't have all the molds we do.

I made this jighead out of a #5 Bass Pro Shop Clam Shot on a sickle hook. After the super glue and then Powder Painting, it seems very solid.
