Some results from mixing glitter. Was disappointed with the black glitter mix, until I thought about pepper...

Fine black glitter won't sparkle for me, but it seems to look OK to me when mixed with clear over a powder coat. I added a few more parts of clear to my mixture, since this photo was taken, to lessen the pepper density. From now on, my jig heads can appear to have 'authentic-looking' black spot disease. ;)

Extra fine glitters work well for me. Have to thank Radtexan and AtticaFish for sharing their knowledge and many fine examples of glitter painting.

BTW, I've had some pretty good luck with brown variations of the top two jigs on green bass. Hope that these might produce similar results in different conditions.

And the bottom jig... I've always liked a brown color mixed with emerald green flake. Will see if kelly green craft fur matters next spring.

Jigs weigh 1/8 of an ounce and have #2 bronze hooks.

Thank you StumpHunter. I hadn't thought about blackhead pimples. There's redness too. LOL. ;) Nice observation. :)
