It started raining here in east Texas this morning at about 7:15 A. M. It continued to rain all day long. So sat down and just tied jigs all day long. Filled a box of jigs so that now I will not have to worry about tying any for when the bream start in. Last summer we could buy a rain shower this spring we cant get a break from the rain. Can't even get the ground dry enough to finish the garden. Well after last year we better take what we can get. They tell us that we can expect another 3 inches of rain before it ends. I might have to tie another box of jigs tomorrow.

Out here...
2/10" here... And our lakes are to low to launch a boat...

The water is usually around 26 feet deep where I'm standing when I took this picture!!

I hope my grass comes back!!! I spent 4 years trying to get it nice and thick ( centipede grass ) and it got baked.... last year... I think Tyler had 40 something straight days of temps over 100 degrees last summer! broke the record by more than 25 days! It was miserable!!! I think I'll take the rain over the drought!
If you run out of room in those boxes.... I'll pick some up on the way home!! LOL!!! Don't catch em all when it does dry out!

Well it looks like we are in for a bit of a break from the rain. Neighbor had 6 inches in his gauge. There was a lot of feed wash in to the lake so will not go out for another day or so. Don't get me wrong will take all the rain that we can get. It has given me time to work on the boat, equipment, and more jigs. Should now have all the bream jigs that I need with enough crappie jigs that I should be okay for at least three weeks or so. In three days I did 12 dozen jigs filled 4 more boxes and wow. Am so use to tying jigs that got up this morning and tied up a dozen more before breakfast and had to find space in a box to put them in. Lols

Zac you have gotten hit about as hard as we were getting hit. Hope that rain lets up a little to let us get out and get some of the yard work done at least. My yard is getting to look like a hay field.
