Not only that but the University has funded and put together the largest group of Purple Heart recipients ever assembled in one place.Last count I heard was 405 will be in attendance today,from all over the country...

As a Vietnam vet. I am so glad that so many people and organizations are backing our troops. Backing was sorely lacking during the Korean and Vietnam war eras. Hope it never gets like that again.

There are so many great charities that are helping both the shattered minds and bodies of our boys. Believe me you are never the same person once you have been in combat.

I think it was about two year before I quit looking for me rifle and helmet when the volunteer fire alarm went off at home. Its wail was eerily similar to the one that wailed at " firebase sally " that signaled attack.. It was such a conditioned reflex.

That was quite awesome what they did, unfortunately my Wildcats ruined the rest of their day. But still a great cause and I thank them from the bottom of my heart being a vet. Army, 1986-1994, Fort Riley, Ks.
