Saw this on the news - Pure fishing has been sold to Newell Rubbermaid!!!  Be interesting to see what happens with this.

IMO, the conglomerates create tons of useless junk and limit the better products because they do not sell as well. Having said that, they have an impressive line up of fishing tackle companies. Hopefully they will expand the mail order side so selection is not limited to what your local stores are willing to carry.

I agree Kdog of all the companies owned by Jarden (fishing reels for a sample) are mostly junk living off the name that was once associated with quality products.
