Pulled a DA

Well Stupid here pulled a Dumb A** yesterday. Went out to start the car and hit ice on the steps and went down big time!!! Caught the front edge of the stair right across the spot I hurt last week and across the kidney, bounced hard on the last step and then hit the ground.

Took me 10 mins but I finally managed to get up and went back in the house grabbed the salt shaker and dumped it on the stairs. Had the wife put Lidicain patchs on me and drove to work. Lasted until 2 and hurt so bad left and went to the emergency room.

Severe contusion to the kidney and big time swelling, PAIN is NOT a wonderful thing. Don't know how long this one is gonna take to clear up!!!!

Sorry to hear Man !!!! i did that couple years ago...Two cracked ribs to go with....Took months to get anywhere close to normal..

Glad you're ok after a spill like that. If arms and eyes don't hurt you can still tie. Always look at the bright side.

I feel for you FM, man I know what pain feels like and that kind of pain is the the worst because it even hurts when you sit or lay or stand, it is like the back, no matter the position you get into you can't escape it. I'll remember you in my prayers for a speedy recovery, take care and watch the ice.

Thanks Attica - Just have to get through the pain - Doc tried to give me pain killers but I refused them

Doug OUCH I did the same thing back when I live in Iowa. Cracked 3 ribs and it was hard to breath. cough, or even laugh. Took a month or so to get back in have way good shape. Just glad that it happened in the winter instead of during fishing season. A bruised kidney has to hurt just as bad.

Only advice is rest and take ibuprofen. I will send healing thoughts in your direction.

That's the worst part!!! Only thing they could give me is an anti-biotic to fight any change of infection. Everything else was bad news with my narcolepsy and anti-seizure meds!!! and I told him to stuff the Vicodin's!!!
