Ehhhhhh.....
Syrupy, too thick. It's apple pie flavored so expected so, but it's overboard and would expect hangover conditions if I wasn't wise. The kick is substantial, but short of what I'd've hoped.
If Hunter was still local, I'd try him for a better option.

I drank some apple pie flavored shine at an event called The Lupus Chili Fest. It should be called The Lupus Hippy Fest.....Its a good time maaaan...eer... ;) anyway that apple shine was beyond nasty in my opinion. The best Shine I've ever drank was some good old Backwoods Kentucky Clear. I remember sitting around a bonfire and I remember the jar coming around once or twice but the rest of that night was pretty much a blurr. :P

I make my own Apple Pie, Peach Cobbler, and Blueberry delight.

I don't drink much hard liquor - maybe a sip or two - because it's so devistating on my body, but it's fun to make.

I get 100 proof corn liquor from a local distillery, then mix 750ml w/ a cup of brown sugar, some fresh lemon peel, a couple sticks of cinnamon, and a large container of frozen apple juice concentrate. Then stick it in the garage (or basement in the winter) and shake it up every day for two weeks. Then let it sit in a dark place for 3-4 months, then strain into pint or 1/2 pint ball jars & add a 1/2 piece cinnamon to each jar.

Then let it sit another couple months and give it away as Christmas gifts.

I've also used the same receipe on fresh peaches (MMM, but very dangerous) and fresh blueberries.

I work in DC and the BIG black secretaries run the place. I make sure each of my girls gets a jar once a year and I get anything I ask for in terms of supplies, parking passes, and information.

Candy's dandy, but liquors quicker.
