Well I ordered $50 worth - Trying it after a trade, I got a 1/2 lb of the Candy Translucent teal.

2 oz of Candy Raspberry Translucent

and I got the 2oz. Sample pack of Dormant colors, you automatically get 2oz.s of High gloss clear then YOU pick 5 colors from the Dormant colors - I got Hunter Green (This was BO'd but I really want this one), Sparkle Red, Blue (they don't carry the Deep Blue anymore), Granny Smith green, and purple. Here's the color chart http://www.columbiacoatings.com/store/c/47-Dormant-Colors.aspx

I didn't get the dormant copper sparkle, because it looks just like the new penny with the orange glitter clear coat over it I made up before.

Their customer service was great and the guy was pretty sure they were out of the hunter green - put me on hold went out to the warehouse and they were out, should have it within a week. he also saved me $4 on shipping.

If all these colors work as well as the teal I'm gonna have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fatman, I have a question. Exactly what are dormant colors. I saw them on the Columbia Coating website but haven't been able to figure out just what the term "dormant" means.

I didn't find out until I started using them!!!! I heated the head and dipped and looking at it thought I forgot!!! The dormants when I read more on the site you dip them all cure for 10 minutes then dip in the high gloss which brings out the color to it's brightest according to Columbia and cure again. I just dipped the color and then reheated and dipped in the hight gloss and cured. This powder is a bit denser and I had some drip tips on some of the jigs I did.

I do like the Translucent Candy Teal (got some in a trade from a guy on another board) and I bought 1/2 a lb. of it and 2oz of the Trans Candy Raspberry.

I have the Translucent Teal and the Translucent Lollipop Red. I really like them over ProTec's Holographic Silver,

FM....pictures. I am almost out of Colombia Clear Coat and will need to place order soon. Where are you storing the paint. I have them in a paper grocery bag inside the garage. Are you having any issues with moisture. I have not experienced any issue but you may have better idea.

I have a cardboard box with the jar's in them, and those and all my fluid beds go in a storage bin with a locking lid. Gonna get a different box for the fluid beds so all the powder and glitter can go in one bin. Have not had any moisture problems so far.

I just ordered 1# of clear gloss from CC.
ON ANOTHER NOTE.
To prevent moisture problems swipe a pair of the Captains panty hose , cut 1 foot off and put a handful of white rice inside. tie it up and put it in the box with the powder paint. I also keep rice in my tackle box

I'm not taking anything away from Columbia Coatings product because I bought some and it's 1st Rate but I also ordered twice from Rosey's Powder Coating and with the 1/2 price on everything sale going on this whole month, I'm really stocking up. For instance, my 1st order was for 4 colors, 1# each and even with shipping, the per# cost was less than $7. My 2nd order was for another 5#, including 2# of candy color's (higher priced) and again, including shipping my per# cost was only $8. So far, the powder's I'm getting from Rosey's is great quality too, but then, I've been at this such a short time, what would I know.
Here's a Gold Vein I got from Rosey's

I'm especially stocking up on Clear 200% Gloss since that helps everything else stretch farther.

As long as it works I don't care where it comes from. The Orbit clear is working really nice too!! I have some Pro-Tech, the high gloss clear that came with the CC order and the Orbit is the 2 lbs. I got in the group buy.

Everyone starts buying from all these powder places and Pro-Tec is gonna lose a lot of business. I asked the folks at CC about the RAL colors and they're all the same no matter where you buy them, although they don't all carry the same colors.

After seeing some of the colors you guys have bought I gotta get my butt in gear and get an order in!! Thanks all!!!

Pepop.....have you tried any of the sample packs. What colors are working good for you?

I'm looking for my 2nd order today or tomorrow & it has the candy & bright colors in it but the matte black, high gloss silver & gold vein are working great. I mixed the 100% gloss clear with some matte black & it gave me a good gloss black. I'll post some samples of the candy Orange & electric blue as soon as I get them. I've got an idea to try with the candy Orange I'll be interested if it'll work. I was gonna get the candy sample pack but it was out of stock when I ordered.

My 2nd order from Rosey's came today. here is a comparrison. Again, I'm not taking anything away from Columbia Coatings. Their's are excellent powder's. I'm just showing, for the colors I bought, @ $7 & $8 per #, Rosey's is also very good...

The 4 on the left are my mixes, top is close to Radtexan's Punkin Seed & a sort of Pink-ish something. The bottom is my version of StumpHunter's Olive & Radtexan's Motor Oil. Then the top row is Rosey's Electric Blue, Sun Metallic Gold, Candy Orange, Silver, Matte Black & Gold Vein. Bottom Row is Columbia Coating's Leaf Green, Metallic Gold, Pure Orange, Sky White and Traffic Red. The 2 Gold's are nearly identical with Rosey's slightly darker. The CC gold was $4.99 for 2oz and the Rosey's gold was $13 for 1# but at 1/2 price that made it $6.50 for 1#
