I've read a couple places about tilting the mold while pouring jigs, is this referring to tipping one end down while putting, or tipping to one side while pouring?

I haven't had any problems yet, but I do hold the mold at a slight angle while pouring. My only problem was mispours when I wasn't heating up the mold properly. But now with those two things all seems well.

The one nice thing about mispours is it gives me something to test colors on, and new color combos before diving into my good pour stash

The biggest reason I tip my molds forward is for safety . If you get over pour it dose'nt run into the palm of your hand .

"dose'nt run into the palm of your hand" - did that actually happen?

This might be a dumb suggestion, but I didn't figger melting off bad pours and recasting the hooks till a ways down the line.

Yes it did actually happen . I was pouring spinner baits . The wire was giving me fits . Fortunately it was in my younger days and I was once pretty fast with my hands . Slung it out of my hand before it could do serious damage .
