I've never seen the stuff in person aside from on a live polar bear at the zoo. How does it compare to other longer fur like actic fox and Finn raccoon?

How much did you pay for it? I hear it's expensive and hard to get.

Where Artic Fox is really thick all around Polar bear is thick next to the skin - It has a really nice translucent appearance.

I waited months for this deal to go through and until I had the paperwork I had to wait - I know it's expensive but I got MORE than a great deal on this stuff!!!!!!!! and I REALLY WISH I'd gotten more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is the movement in the water? Is it mobile and flowing like fox, or stiffer like grizzly or black bear?

Doc - cut me some slack LOL Tell you've never lost the last of a special jig you had!!! I haven't fished a Doll Fly jig since I was about 14 years old, so I'm gonna find out all over again.

Those are sweet. That's the first I've heard of using polar bear fur. My wife's longhaired white cat is looking good about now.

I'll wet one down tonight - and I can't die feathers or fur that they don't look like crap so it's staying the color it is!!!! but I do wish I could I'd like to do some florescents on a few pieces to see what it would look like. I'd already made plans to sell off 1/2 of it to some guys on one of my fly boards and that should hopefully break me even on the buy plus a bunch left.

Here's a couple of pics with it wet - one thing I noticed in all of them is that the red of the sickle hook showed through. It's a really transluscent fur.

The second pic is after I soaked it again. It tries to dry out quick.
