Dyed a few colors this morning of opossum, last picture is some pank coyote. Should be able to tie something nice with this, hair has some translucency to it. I kept it simple and used food color, vinegar and two of my daughters coffee mugs. After mixing colors I put it in the microwave for 1:30 minutes and let it cool before rinsing. Nice - excellent work. UV? Did you try the neon yet? Might try some Artic fox tomorrow....

Possum looks like some excellent stuff - I'd be interested.

Maybe just put the opossum on the endangered species list. Really did use the daughter's coffee mugs. Only use a few drops of the food color so can dye a bunch with it. Four colors for $2.99 plus vinegar. Mugs were free. After I cut the opossum up I took the opossum's mask and tacked it above the daughter's head board in her room. Never even noticed it. I finally had to point it out, otherwise it might still be there. Sonny, haven't tried the neon food color, these colors do have fluorescence in them.

Hmmmm. I think if people start to see road kills they may be picking them up!!! Fantastic work! The hair is really nice to work with from the possum

I tied up a few today, post pictures tomorrow. It ties in much easier than kiptail or bucktail. Think this might become one of my favorite materials. Hope to do some field testing with it soon.

Very impressive dye jobs! Do like the colors. Been playing with badger here lately and like working with it . May have to give the Opposum a go round .
