Like I said lastnight, There was perch and large minnows chasing these guys when I went the creek to test my jigs. 1st one is 1/8 oz jighead with natural elk hair for the tail, the body is 2 different chenilles, black and brown with copper flash up by the head.

The 2nd one is the same thing but with green chenille and no flash.

And the last one I tied it with an olive marabou tail with red flash and a black and orange chenille body one a 1/32 oz jighead.

I'm pleased with the results lastnight at the creek. The only problem is that the creek was very clear and none of the big fish wanted to play. Kind of hurt my feelings Oh well, better luck next time.

They look buggy,I think if you downsize the size even more you'll start catching those fish. Sometimes those big one's just want a snack.

1/16 #6 is compact enuf for perch and decently castable on 4# mono. Like JJ1 says, little jigs can account for surprisingly hefty catches. Did the perch not bite the 1/32 jig? That tie looks excellent!

Oh yeah, the perch was pulling the hair and the chenille. I was just excited that they showed interest in the jigs. Thank you for the tip, I'll pick up some 1/16 in hope that I can find some with #6 hooks. The 1/32 oz jigs I have but did not tye any catapla on them I'll do that and see what happens. Thank you! I'll keep throwing those boogers. Those hybrid were laid up on the bottom and refused to move. I'll work on them some more.
