I had a request to go bigger. I am working on 1/8oz with #2 sickle. Using a yellow wool under for a body profile. Overall is about 2.5" body.

I like that . I have been doing a similar tie with yellow buck tail on a 1/4 oz jig. Looks Like I am off to the wool shop next week for some yellow wool.:)

Not all wool is the same......you will see the more you play. I think the best is from the actually sheep! You just need to soak in dawn soap at it cleans ups.

The wool I get is cleaned and died but not yarn . It is carded I assume but that's it. It looks very similar to what you are showing in your picture.I believe it's called felting wool.
