Well, I got my weekly relief today instead of Friday so I loaded up & hit the lake. Didn't start fishin till about 9 & after reading someone's report, I just knew where the fish were gonna be this morning. All I can say is, either they weren't there or they were but left before I got there. Fished shallow, East banks, sticks & lay downs till 10:30 then brush piles till 11:30 with only 1 small keeper in the box & 15-20 dinks released. I needed to leave at 12 but wanted to try 1 particular tree first.. Eased passed the waypoint watching the SS, tossed out a marker & started fishin. 20 min later, no fish & only a couple lite bites. Just as I was fixin to rig down in defeat, my line got heavy. Pulled, pulled back. Set hook & boated big fish of the morning, about 1 1/2#. Decided to try another min or 2. The fish were there. Left them biting 20 minutes later with 10 in the live well. All but 1. Keeper caught on my version of Slab Me Silly's Pepop.
