Pearl flash duckin

Buddy gave me some wood duck flank feathers so I threw together a quick, yet poor, imitation of JJ1's flash duck jigs. Tried it for an hour this eve.
May tie some more.

Nice looking tie and pretty amazing results for a short trip! The red head looks nice and sparkly. Wonder if the crappie believe that the jig they are eating is a crappie minnow.....? Either way, :cool: :jig: and :bigfish:

Very nice tie and nice catch as well. I think a big key is the little bit of red in the tip of the tail. I tied one leaving the red thread in the tail without clipping it by accident once and the crappie and gills were all over it. I leave it in a lot now, with other color threads as well. You need to tie up more of those. Wood duck, gadwall and mallard flank are all killer duck feathers.
