For those of you tying a lot of rabbit. After doing it both ways today,I honestly think that you get a much better jig,by+ palmering the zonker strips then you do palmering the cross cuts.It seems better to me to have to only worry about having one baggie on hand. This 1/8 oz. jig in the vice was made using only rabbit zonkers.Chartruese barred tail, then shad grey barred zonker for the boddy. They come out so fat and with the chartruese tip on the tail looks like a small bluegill.MHO,lol

Those look good Bruce. I like the crosscut for wrapping but your jigs look good the way you tied em. I agree with you about having so much to keep up.

I am totally amazed by these jigs, lol. After looking at them,I thought to myself, they need something.I added about 4 strands of black saphire flash to the center of the sides.1 of each size. After finding fish, next time out,I'm going to do the flash competition to see if it really matters if it is there or not.Maybe double rig a rod and see which one gets fish. The things are awesome wet.

Palmering is also a good way to use off grade zonkers with sparse hair. I'd be interested if flash out fishes plain fur or not.

Here they are.Shad Grey barred and chartruese barred,2 of each 1/8 and 1/16.I figured that you can get 10 of eah size with a baggie from Crazy Angler with palmering the zonkers and a 1 inch piece tied horizontally as the tail.
