Question about painting lead heads . Would it be best to put a white or black base coat on first , then paint over that ? Using various colors of glitter fingernail paint . Then will cover with a clear coat . Thanks

Rad you got that right. Just did up 75 heads this morning. Total time 1 hour and 15 minutes. You know us old Geezers we move slow.

Crappiejgr will have to post some pictures of my infamous paint board. That makes is way easy to paint a bunch of heads very quickly. The problem is letting them dry between coats.

Can do alot with nail polish and get some colors you can't get (or i haven't figured out how to yet) with powder paint. Biggest downfall is the dry time. I used to wait at least an hour - depends what brand - before painting a 2nd coat and would let them sit overnight before tying them.

With the nail polish, you can use any color as a base and put clear/glitter over top to come up with some cool scale looks. Black base with a silver hologram (Brand: Pure Ice) looks good! Some of the nail polish has iradecent (sp?) colors that i don't think you can match with powder.

Let's see it.If you show your jigs, you will learn the right and wrong way a lot faster. No bad critics here. But you will get it faster then if you just keep tying yourself without any critisism.lol
