Got to mixing a little powder paint today and hit a color I liked. Pulled out my box of odd feathers that I had bought in a lot off of ebay and found a black with gold outline around the feather with a gold line down the middle. I liked the looks of it so I tied one of those (one of a kind jig) we all have tied many times. Not a bad color combo so here it is..

From what I can see it looks good. Any chance you taking a pic with a 75W or 100W bulb so we can see more detail?

Have to agree - excellent colors! :jig:

Looks like pic could be taken in a light box of some kind... very little shadow area. Takes some experimenting to get the right light levels, but the detail on the chenille is very clear and can even see some pearl colored fibers.

Yes the pic was taken in a light box but the side lights are not working right. Here is a pic with more light so you can see the colors better.

I used Harbor Freight powder paint. 1 TS of Black and 2 TS of yellow. Came out to be a good olive with small black specks. The chenille is Crasy Anglers Anton Golden Brown.

A professional-looking jig SH.

I really like the colors, but particularly your olive paint mixture. :icon14:

The HF powder paints are just about all I need for smallmouth bass jigs. I've mixed some bassy-looking colors with them. :jig:
