Old Eyes = New 1198 C

Bought the old 997 when it came out brand spanking new @ 1995 $ . Good reliable fish finder and structure finding tool.

Last fall went with somebody that had 1198 mounted in his boat Made the mistake of sitting in his pilot seat and looking at the 1198. Wanted one ever since.

Well I gave myself a stern lecture about being equipment crazy and wasteful with money and even being selfish and greedy.
Then I promptly ordered one and it arrived yesterday.

Mounted it immediately and have not sensed an iota of regret. I must enjoy the feeling of guilt.

I got the new himminbird and the I pilot with the I link. love it. love it. love it. git a good deal. got the good friend discount.... lol. woulda cost me over 6000. but got bkth locators and all the trolling motor stuff, plus install for 4000

Awesome Papa.... That 1198 is a gem !!! We suffered with the 998 for a while but since my buddy upgraded I gave him grief for waiting so long.........

I cant add one to my boat,it would double the value of it.

Papa no need to feel guilty enjoy. I am in the same boat as as Rad. Do use my hand held to bring me the the most productive trees. Just running out of waypoints way to fast.
