Here are a few of my latest. Give a guy a few lure decals and give him a sharp knife and this is what happens. Just making a few odd ones for those days the fish want somthin different.

The holographic pink on the right isn't showing very well in pic.

Those look good. That lure tape should put out plenty of flash.

I haven't had a chance to do anything with the blade baits yet, but thinking i have to put the infamous Chrome Clown paint on one or 2. Black/gold is a must too. Just don't want to over-do the paint to keep some of the original bright metallic flash.

Russ- I usually paint only the brass finish bodies. The nickel ones I almost always leave as is just coloring the lead portion.

But if you want a flashy finish on the brass ones. Try buffing one with some jewelers rouge. It will make it gleam like gold. After buffing you must coat the brass with clear coat to preserve any shine though.

That's what I really enjoy working with these. Great lure and so much you can do with them.

FM,
Best I have found http://www.millerrodandgun.com/Fishing-blade_bait_lure.htm But I usually buy from Barlows, great price per hundred

My brass blades that I want to use as is get polished in a rock tumbler with corn cobs and red rouge. Although I still break down and hand polish a bunch, the hand polishing may give a slightly better final finish I dip mine in clear lacquer after polishing. Just be sure to wipe them down with acetone before coating.
