One of my local fishing buddies just dropped off 3 drake Mallards. Feathers!

He left with a small baggie of Trout flies and micro-jigs, and a big ol' grin on his face.

Excellent - just make sure to wash up the feathers and get the skin dried out with some borax. Even if you pluck it wash the feathers good so there's no chance of any bugs getting in your other stuff

Did that, Fatman. Got them bagged up, and a packet of Dichlorobenzene mothball crystals in each bag of feathers.

Fatman has gotten pretty good at dying those prolly get some pointers when you need them .
