Some of my odd ball ideas i have get made up with only one or 2 prototypes. These are some of my creations from the past month or so. Finaly got around to taking a few pics.

Inspired from the barred tail craft fur jigs posted by Pup, i did some barred tails and heads of my own. The 2 on the left are geared towards smallmouth and 2 on the right have walleye in mind....

Simple gray/silver with a barred head. Head is made in tin so extra lightweight and a thinner hook with a custom 60deg bend  look out crappie....

Got to thinking of the old red/white daredevil spoons. Have caught a number of fish on those over the years and wondered if a knock-off in a jig form would be productive...

Found some big (1/4oz.) heads on clearance at wally world last fall and finaly got around to making a few. Pain to tie around the weed guard. :dodgy: I also used an extra large chenille i found at a craft shop, i was unsure of the durability of it, so wrapped some 28 ga. wire over the chenille...

Also did up some lighter weight, 'finesse' type of bass jigs. This one is a 1/16 football head with an EWG hook....

They all look good, you have been busy. I like the looks of the 1/4 oz jigs. I have used some of the craft store chenille on some of my 1/8 and 1/4 testing jigs and so far it has held up good.

I always liked the barred look on any lure nearly. Fish seem to like it too . I figure you nailed it pretty good cause if fishermen like it, (the first thing you have to catch) and fish like it,(the second thing you have to catch) you should have a 100% chance of selling them. LOOKING GOOD!

Excellent ties AF. I really like your barred orange jigs. Great job on the barring itself. You've got a steady hand and good eye for it.

Don't be surprised if you catch walleye on all of those jigs. I'd like to try that purple one when fishing deep walleye. Also, do not reserve that gray/silver jig simply for crappie. My local reservoir is experiencing a walleye rennaissance with some nice eaters being caught. Last fall, I caught several cigars (juvenile walleye) while fishing silver and gray hair jigs from the shoreline during daylight. An encouraging sign to me. So, reserve that jig for some walleye too.

I'm a firm believer in jigs designed with contrasting colors. Again, all look really good.

I dig your "Old School" red and white look too. I put a couple of simple red/yellow and red/white craft fur ties out on my web site recently. I plan to fish those color combinations a bit more this year. Again, yours look really good. :jig:

I love those crawfish imitations, they should do a number on smallies. My favorite is the 1/16 on the bottom, really nice blend of materials.
