This Kansas boy found some Shiner Bock last weekend for the first time. Goes very well with good smoked pork butt and a pork loin!

Good tunes...... headed to my basement to do some painting and that makes me wish for a larger mp3 player so i can get a lil' more variety on it.

This one is a new song that gets in my head.... love the shuffle beat to it.

Sounds not transmitting to my phone but admire the suds.
Since ive figured out the Friday veil, I've fallen in a smile listening to music that reminds me of smiles.

Even though my mp3 is full of Natalie Maines, Allison Krause, Nickle Creek and such.................

"Goin' home, goin' home,
By the waterside i will rest my bones.
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
To rock my soul."

Being an old vet I can't help but feel my chest swell with pride and it still brings a tear to my eye.

When I first heard the song I thought it was a tad disrespectful. But when I heard the lead singer was a navy vet.

I took the trouble to watch the video of this song. It is now my favorite rendition.

OK, how do you get the screen to post? I seem to only be able to post the shortcuts of the videos.

And yes Eric is AWESOME!!
When I lived in NC back in the 80's I played and sung in the back-woods bars and homes. Wasn't many weekends that went by that you couldn't find a house full of people playing and singing. Someone would make a call and folk would come with their instruments to join in. Some of the best music can be heard this way.
Good times!!! It would be nice to roll back the years to relive those times.
