Hi everyone.

I'm Dave aka JJs Jigs. I've been tying jigs and flies for over 20 years. It's nice to have site dedicated to what I love to do... so I'm happy to be here. Thanks for the invite atticafish!!

I live in the North Central "hinterlands" of Pennsylvania. Smack dab in the new "boom" of the gas drilling industry. :s My homewater creeks are full of wild and stocked trout and I live 500 feet from the North Branch of the Susquehanna River. This is an area where SM bass is KING! If you have never fished the "Suskie"... well, you have missed out on one of the premier SM bass fisheries on the East Coast. The North Branch Suskie is very healthy (don't believe the doom and gloomers that have a suffering fishery on the West Branch and Main Stem of the Suskie) and full of wild bass, walleye, pike, and muskie. A warm water anglers DREAM!

I look forward to all this site has to offer.

Regards,

Dave aka JJ's Jigs

Welcome JJ , how is the yellow perch in your part of the SusQ. ? Moms side of the family was fetched up in the Huntingdon Pa. area. Fished the Juanita there and Whipple Dam long time ago during family reunion stuff.

faintly remember catching small brookies with Grandpa.

Really not much to the perch population on the NB Suskie. (well, I haven't heard of many being caught) Our waters are more a transitional fishery on the North Branch. Meaning, the panfish species (including perch) really don't call the NB home. Oh, we get a handfull of 'gills, perch, stickleback in our waters...

I'll let the figures to the talking:

L.D. Guide Service statistics

Lance fishes the river 7 days a week from ice out to ice in. If he hasn't caught it... it doesn't exsist in the river. Please note that his 2009 stats are only for an 11 mile stretch of river from Wysox, PA to Wyalusing, PA.

Hey, count me in on helping you obtain that goal of spreading!!! I'll be spreading the info about this site to my conclave of jig and fly buddies.

(You might have to start a little section just for all of us dirtbags in North East PA who probably will be coming over here soon!!)
