Brother in law stopped by this morning and his wife and a friend of ours were loading a bunch of stuff to take up to Goodwill and the BIL asked her if this was going to, and she said yes and he said Doug could really use that!!!

It's a Flambeau BAZUKA Hard Rod Case!!!! My rods over the winter get stored in rod tubes from Bass Pro that they ship rods in but I'll have my sister in law make some nice fleece covers and keep them separated in the tube.

Very nice.

Have something similar that's made by Plano called an 'Airliner'. I don't think it's quite as nice as yours, though I've found it useful for protecting long, 1-piece rods on road trips. Think it cost me a little less than 20 bucks on a clearance aisle. Your deal is much better. ;)

till I went and looked it up I didn't know it extended!!!! Mine is the smaller one which they say will take 6 - 6 1/2 foot rods but I checked my BPS Crankin stick and if I collapse the handle it fits in fine

I use to travel allot & those things are awesome in your check in luggage, to ship UPS, or for throwing in the back of a pick up for protecting rods.

Was gone this weekend to pick up my grand daughter and while at my Dad's picked up 2 large roles of heavy fleece and my sister in law is going to make me some rod socks to give them a little extra protection in the tube. At a buck a piece the fleece was a good deal.

Can not go wrong with the bazookas for traveling rod protection. Used them a lot back in the Baja days and fishing in Costa Rica. Rod sox are a must for added protection...
