I got out this morning and waded a local river early this morning. Slow going today but managed a few species including some smaller bass. The walleye and crappie were caught on duck jigs, smallie hit a Berkley power grub. This smallie jumped three times and fought so hard it lost 2lbs by the time I got him in. All were released. Smallie was around 17 inches but fatter than most caught in this river.View attachment 8View attachment 9

Nice mix of fish - looks like a very healthy brown bass. Wading in mid October........ what is the water temps like? No doubt would need the waders (and maybe some long johns) to get out and wade up here.

Water temps were upper 60's when it was caught. Fish are keying on minnows this time of year, crawfish baits are going untouched.
