I camped out with my oldest daughter, RV style and fished all three days. It was the first time for me so with two big lakes and a couple ponds to try out was pretty busy trying to find fish. I caught plenty of fish but found a couple spots on the last day that held some redear's. Ended up catching 11 from 9-11 inches long on a 1/64 chub hardbody on a #8 red sickle that at the end of the day was gold. I released them all but plan on going again Labor Day weekend and keep some. The sweet spots were sandy, weedy areas on both sides of the swimming beach. View attachment 8View attachment 9View attachment 1

The area on both sides of the swimming area was pretty shallow so I used a small float about a foot above the little hardbody chub and tipped the jig with Berkley power wigglers that I cut lengthwise to add color and scent. I caught bluegill or bass on white and chartreuse wigglers and the redear hit pink wigglers, funny how a little color can make a big difference. The wind picked up in the afternoon and had to retrieve faster, only caught gills and a couple bass in the afternoon. Glad you are back Ronny.

I had to try a couple pics in "SONNY" style, surprised they turned out that well. I hope the redear are still there in a couple weeks when I go back, freezer is empty of fillets now.

Nice crackers! They put up a good tusks for their size. More importantly, glad you got that family time.
If ya get a sec, I'd like to see the RV.
